Not only has my AC been broken on and off since June, and they haven’t been able to fix it the approximately 50 times they’ve been in my apartment, but now the temporary portable window unit they gave me (a few days ago) blew out my power and tripped the breaker. 🙃

So I took it upon myself to let myself into the leasing office after hours so my dog and I could sit in the AC while we wait for emergency maintenance to get here.

They’ve now hired another company to come out AGAIN next Tuesday for what feels like the 100th attempt at fixing this thing.

Y’all pray for me this week. I’m officially one inconvenience away from acting very un-Christian-like. 😭

Today was one of those days I’ll never forget. 🩰💕
I was fitted by @jojo._.levin one of my favorite humans and a professional ballerina, for my very first pair of ballet slippers.🩰🩰🩰

It’s funny because so many people know me through music, but what they may not know is that I’ve secretly dreamed of taking ballet for as long as I can remember.

Growing up, my life was filled with music lessons, competition cheerleading, school cheerleading, and eventually being selected as an All-American Cheerleader to perform at the Pro Bowl. I loved every second of it. But between my schedule, my three sisters’ schedules, and everything life had going on, ballet was always my little girl dream that had to wait.

Well… not anymore.
Between performing and touring as a full time country artist, running a business teaching music and tutoring, and teaching Pure Barre, I spend so much of my life pouring into others. I realized it was time to do something just for me, a chance to learn something new, challenge myself, and reconnect with a secret dream I’ve carried since I was a little girl.

This weekend, I’m officially beginning ballet classes at the Nashville Ballet School, and I can’t tell you how excited I am to finally give that little girl dream a chance to live. 🎀🩰🩰

A special thank you to my sweet friend @jojo._.levin . Thank you for believing in me, encouraging me, and reminding me that it’s never too late to begin. Your kindness, your heart, and your example as a professional ballerina have inspired me more than you’ll ever know. Hearing someone of your caliber believe in me gave me the confidence to finally take this leap, and that means the world to me.

I just started going through my mail and found this sweet handwritten letter from one of my oldest and dearest friends, @cbufford .

We met during my college years in Hawaii all those years ago, and somehow we’ve managed to stay by each other’s side through so many chapters of life. We’ve celebrated together, cried together, prayed together, cheered each other on, and watched each other grow into the women we are today.

Thank you for taking the time to write me such a beautiful letter. In a world of texts and social media, receiving something handwritten from someone who’s known me for so many years is incredibly special.

I love you, girl. Thank you for being one of the greatest blessings in my life. ❤️🤍

Tour reminded me how much I love what I do… and coming home reminded me how much I love where I get to come back to.

Somewhere between the miles, the music, the stages, the sunsets, and the waves…

I found pieces of myself I didn’t realize I’d been missing.

Maybe we don’t lose ourselves all at once.
Maybe we lose little pieces over time,
chasing expectations,holding onto things that no longer bring us peace, forgetting to slow down.

For the past three weeks, I have woken up every day doing what I love, surrounded by people who made me laugh, encouraged me, and reminded me who I am.

This tour has reminded me what it feels like to be fully alive again.

And every day, this sweet girl has reminded me of something, too.

She doesn’t care about the awards.
She doesn’t know what tour I’m on.
She doesn’t know how many people follow me.

She only knows I’m her person.

Maybe finding myself was never about becoming someone new. Maybe it was about coming home to the version of me that always knew what mattered most.💕🐾

Behind every song is a girl who never stopped believing. 💕🎀

Every stage is a reminder that God is faithful, dreams are worth chasing, and hard work always has a purpose. I’m so grateful to be living the life I once prayed for… and we’re just getting started. 💕✨

While many of you know me as a performer, what you may not know is that I’ve also been quietly running my own music school and tutoring business for the past 8 years! 🎶💗

Teaching has always been one of my greatest passions. I earned my degrees in Music and Elementary Education, along with my Master’s Degree in Education, and taught Kindergarten and 1st grade before stepping into music full-time.

Today, I’m incredibly blessed to make music my career, but I continue teaching because it’s truly my calling. There is nothing more rewarding than watching my students grow in confidence, discover their gifts, and accomplish goals they never thought were possible. Those “light bulb” moments are why I love what I do.

I teach voice, piano, guitar, songwriting, music theory, stage performance, and studio coaching to students of all ages. My youngest student is 4 years old, and my oldest is 70—because it’s never too late to learn. 💕

I offer in-person lessons in Nashville, Mount Juliet, and Austin, as well as virtual lessons worldwide.

This fall, I have space for just FOUR new private music students. If you’ve been thinking about taking lessons, I’d love to help you reach your goals.

Because education has always been close to my heart, I’m also accepting a limited number of new private tutoring students for Pre-K through 12th grade in all subject areas. I also offer test prep, college prep, and state assessment preparation, helping students build confidence and succeed both in and out of the classroom.
